Around the Yangtze

Louvre Bouteille has closed its doors at 150 rue Saint-Honoré. Its successor, Autour du Yiangtse, is a fairly discreet Asian restaurant.

Its frontage may look like many of its competitors, but the restaurant is very popular with locals and with the tourists who dare to stop by. Autour du Yiangtse offers family-style cooking and a family atmosphere. No buffet or rows of tables here: just genuine, authentic Chinese cuisine.

Like its website (most of which has not yet been translated from Mandarin), stepping inside the restaurant will make you feel a world away. The small dining room also means you can eat in peace and quiet.

Our tip? The xiaolongbao, the very popular soup dumplings filled with meat or vegetables, which the chef makes to perfection.

Taking over from Louvre Bouteille was no easy task, but the restaurant pulls it off brilliantly in a completely different style, never disappointing its guests, both in its welcome and its cooking. Autour du Yiangtse is the ideal place to eat at a very reasonable price in a spot still little known to Parisians (for now!).

Practical information: Autour du Yiangtse – 150 rue Saint-Honoré, a 10-minute walk from Le Relais Saint-Honoré along rue Saint-Honoré
