What Are the Basic Principles of a Good Breakfast?
To create a well-rounded buffet breakfast, we have adhered to several nutritional principles:
- Protein and Fat: Scrambled eggs, omelettes, bacon, and sausages are essential for producing dopamine, giving your body the boost it needs in the morning. Incorporating healthy fats, such as those found in eggs, poses no significant cardiovascular risk.
- Low Glycemic Index Carbohydrates: Whole wheat breads and traditional muesli are preferred over white breads, puffed cereals, or jams because they contain low glycemic index sugars, which are better for sustained energy.
- Fruits over Juice: Whole fruits are preferable to fruit juice as they contain fibers that slow carbohydrate absorption and provide more vitamins.
