Mar’co, the new restaurant on Rue de la Sourdière
By taking over the premises at 4 Rue de la Sourdière, vacated by the restaurant La Sourdière by Yvan, Marco Giami will enable the many customers of the Water Bar at the former Colette concept store to be reunited with their favourite chef. After twenty years at the helm of this unique Parisian venue and 34 years working alongside Colette Rousseaux, this new restaurant will remain true to the spirit of the Water Bar: a place designed for local regulars and curious visitors alike. By bringing back part of the team from the former restaurant, the essence of Marco’s success will live on. The name of this new restaurant also bridges the gap between the new and the classic: “Marco” for the first name of the new owner and “Co” for “Colette”. The logo for this new Parisian venue was designed by Sarah Andelman, co-founder of Colette.
Building on this experience, the restaurant will serve meals from 8.30 am to 7 pm, working with the very best: the baker Jean-Luc Poujauran, who supplies over 200 Parisian restaurants (including P. Etchebest and his Cantines du Troquet) and the Élysée Palace. When it comes to patisserie, the restaurant will be working with renowned names such as Ladurée and Angelina, as well as the celebrated chef Yann Couvreur.
Fifty seats await you from February, just a few minutes’ walk from the Relais Saint-Honoré. It’s a chance to dine in a venue that truly represents the neighbourhood.
Practical information: The Mar’co restaurant will open its doors in February. It is located at 4 Rue de la Sourdière, 30 metres from the Relais Saint-Honoré.
